We are looking at removing the standalone functionality in the Nano Prox and enhancing the SAM module, but want your feedback first.

Should SAM Have Cosmetic Surgery

The PRX-SAM is up for a re-design and we would like your opinion. We want to incorporate this standalone functionality into a small standalone unit. What features do you think are required, users, software, events please give us some feedback using the comments section.

Basic User Software. Time Schedules. Limit to 500 users Basically match the Nidac PAC-series with the addition of Time Schedules. Cheers Darren (Allsafe Security)

Thanks for the great feedback Darren. With regards to time schedules if the feature of triple badge to hold the door for 2,4,6 or 8 hours as well as latched was implemented on the unit rather than schedules is this an option. I am thinking of the cost sensitivity of the product as well, with schedules this increases because of battery backup and real time clocks. Would like to get more feedback on this. Hayden.

Out here in the GCC region there is a huge demand for the standalone unit..really need to get the users to at least 1000 users with events. An added plus would be with the software there is an area for time and attendance. Currently they are using a seperate device for the time and attendance but if all this could be incorporated into one stand alone unit that would be great.

That could work. Say Double badge to toggle the state of the door. That would work. You would need Time Clock for the Review, unless you a separate "Memory Module" that stores the review/database that the software is connected to. Maybe.

The "electronic lock" functionality of the SAM is great but some audit would be the most appreciated feature,. Time zones (say 4) for access privileges and latching unlock/relock by card would really make this a nice little basic access sytem.

Would like an audit trail of who access the door, as most end users are asking for this
